We're a small, family-run workshop in Copenhagen, and every product that leaves our hands has been made with love and care. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often. If you don't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to reach out – we're always happy to help.
What are your products made of?
Our play food and baby toys are handmade from cotton canvas , cotton and velvet, filled with recycled polyester, and handprinted with plant-based silkscreen prints and hand embroidery. We use partly recycled materials across our entire range – it's part of who we are as a workshop.
Materials used across our range include:
- Cotton canvas , cotton and velvet (Oeko-Tex certified)
- 100% recycled polyester filling
- Plant-based silkscreen prints and hand embroidery
- Bio crinkle paper (sensory toys)
Are your products safe for babies and children?
Yes – all normadot products are CE-certified and meet the strict European safety standards for children's toys. I personally guarantee the quality and safety of every item that leaves our workshop.
Play food is designed for children aged 3 years and above.
What age are the products suitable for?
- Baby rattles (e.g. Banana Rattle, Pretzel Rattle, Maple Syrup Bottle Rattle): 0+ months
- Play food (e.g. Coffee Set, Camembert & Crackers, Berliner, Apple Slices, Pancetta): 3+ years
- Cushions and décor (e.g. Fried Egg Pillow, Brown Bear Cushion): No age restriction, though supervision is recommended for very young children
How do I care for the products?
Care instructions vary by product:
- Baby rattles and sensory toys: Machine wash at 30°C or handwash
- Play food (velvet/embroidery): Spot clean or handwash – avoid machine washing to preserve shape and embroidery details
- Cushions: Spot clean or gentle machine wash at 30°C – do not tumble dry
Always air dry flat.
How long will the products last?
Our products are handmade to be durable and built for years of play. With proper care, they'll hold their shape and charm beautifully – and may even become a treasured keepsake.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship to 50+ countries worldwide. Free shipping applies to orders over EUR 120. Shipping times and rates vary by destination and will be shown at checkout.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy.
Are your products eco-friendly?
We do our best. All products are made with partly recycled materials, and we handcraft everything in our Copenhagen workshop to minimise waste. We use plant-based dyes and Oeko-Tex certified fabrics, and we're always working to make our production even more sustainable.
Can I order wholesale or custom items?
Yes! We work with select retailers and offer wholesale options. Visit our wholesale page for more information on custom orders and bulk purchasing.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes – you can add gift wrapping at checkout. Our products are already designed to be gift-ready, but we're happy to make them extra special for you.
